Support the Farm
Our small family farm is dedicated to keeping things as natural as we can and still keeping our animals, plants, family and friends happy and healthy. We do not charge for services or tours, but are happy to accept any donations you are willing to make! Its not cheap running a small farm, but we want to offer free education and farm experiences to all who want to learn.
Here are some of the items we accept and appreciate for donation:
Feed:
Fresh (or “ not bad or moldy, but my kids won't eat it”) fruit and vegetables to be fed directly to the animals.
Bales of hay (rye, Bermuda, alfalfa, orchard grass, crabgrass etc (NO Fescue!) and NOT treated with ANY chemicals
Christmas trees 🌲 (not chemically treated and free of ALL ornaments and trimmings)
Halloween Pumpkins (carved or not. No painted or moldy pumpkins please)
Acorns!
Supplies:
Bales of straw or wood shavings (bedding)
Thick stall/gym mats
Dog collars (small, medium, large)
Cat collars
Chain ⛓️
Rope
Carabiner clips
Paper towels
Bath towels (for birthing babies)
Nitrile gloves 🧤
Unopened syringes
Heat lamps/bulbs
Rain boots (any size for visitors)
Metal hoses
Dog sweaters (any size. For cold winter days for goats)
Egg cartons (new or used, but clean)
Box fans for goats (summer is hot!)
Diatomaceous earth
Heavy duty plastic or metal buckets 1-5 gal
Dawn dish soap
Unscented bleach
Maintenance/upgrades:
Usable Paint (any color, Indoor or outdoor)
Paint rollers/brushes
Fencing (panels, wire, etc)
Cinderblocks
Large Wood spools (for goats to jump/play on)
Shovels
Rakes
Black roof shingles
Grass seed (not fescue. We love deer plot mixes, clover, vetch, rye)
Flower seeds and plants (bring the pollinators!) no azalea, rhodendron or evergreens. Most are toxic to goats of the accidentally eat them.
Shop lights (plug in)
Fruit trees (healthy)
Wheelbarrow
Pallets (good condition)

If you are interested in volunteering or donating your time, here are some things we typically need help with:
Spring
Bottle feeding baby goats in the morning
Mucking the barn and stalls
Weeding pastures (occasionally there are weeds that the goats cannot eat so we need to get those out of the pasture manually)
Reinforce fencing
Moving compost to the garden beds
Prep and Planting the garden
Collect eggs
Milk goats
Monthly livestock health checks (give meds or vitamins if needed, trim hooves, shave goat’s winter coats, weight & FAMACHA checks, etc)
Summer
Grass mowing in the event/ garden/ gathering pasture)
Reinforce fencing
Weeding garden & pastures
Collect eggs
Milk goats
Monthly livestock health checks (give meds or vitamins if needed, trim hooves, weight and Famacha checks, etc)
Fall
Raking leaves and adding to compost.
